Kenneth ran a hand through his damp hair, looking over at the TV as a storm warning came on. He grabbed the remote and flipped to the news to see what it was before he made his way into the kitchen. "Is it done?" He asked, looking out the window as thunder cracked in the distance. Lightning hit not long after, and the lights flickered, then went out. "Oh well. At least it's a gas stove."

"Yeah." Jordan glanced up as the lights winked out, listening to the sudden storm outside. He had grown used to storms, had slept in several. It was always nice to be on the inside for once. "Just in time, too." He huffed, scooping up a forkful and blowing it off. "Open up," He teased, looking towards Kenneth's silhouette in the dark.

Kenneth smirked a bit, opening his mouth when Jordan offered him the food. "Mm." He chewed it and swallowed it before he leaned over, kissing his forehead. "You heat up a good laganga." He teased, then started feeling along the wall to the closet to grab the lanterns there. He brought them to the window so he could see, and lit one, then carried it back.

Jordan scoffed. "Whatever," He drawled, grabbing another fork and carrying it out to the coffee table without tripping too terribly. "You want a plate or not?" He could honestly care less if they ate out of the baking tin.

"What plates?" He teased. He was content to just eat out of the package most days. He only used plates if it was actually necessary. He followed him to the table, sitting down next to him with the lantern. He took the other fork from him, but instead of feeding himself, he held it out to Jordan.

Jordan smiled crookedly, and took the bite from the fork, chewing slowly as he sat down. He bit at his lip sheepishly as he slowed, glancing towards Kenneth. He looked stunningly handsome with the shadows thrown across his face.

Kenneth took a bite of the lasagna in front of them, looking over at Jordan. His heart sped up a little, just like it always did when he looked at Jordan. Only he could only see the outline of his face. It didn't make much of a difference, though. He was still as perfect as ever. "We should do this more often." He said with a smile, gently putting his free hand on Jordan's knee.

Jordan took another bite of his lasagna with his own fork this time, smiling over at Kenneth. "Yeah.." He agreed softly, glancing down at the touch on his knee. It heightened his nerves the slightest bit, but he only smiled again, didn't think he'd ever smiled so much in one day, unless it was fake.

Kenneth wondered vaguely if this is what the rest of his stay would be like, if they would continue to get along so well or if everything would get awkward again. He certainly hoped the former, considering today seemed to be going so well. "Unless you decide you wanna try the whole relationship thing.. Can we just keep the fact that I'm gay under wraps? Everyone thinks I'm straight.. And unless I get to call you mine, I kinda wanna keep it that way.." He could hear his mother screaming at him, asking him what right he had to be liking boys, that if he wanted to like boys, she'd just cut it off and call him a girl. He reached up, running his hand slowly over his mouth at the thought.

Jordan bit his lip, eyebrows furrowing in the dark. "I-...yeah.." He was perfectly fine with not letting anyone know. The problem was, he didn't want to blow today off like it had never happened. He wanted to burst from his fucking shell and get on with life. He finally had somebody interested, he needed to take the chance..right..? "And if I do let you call me yours..?"

Kenneth leaned over, kissing his cheek gently. "Then you'll know what it means to be treated like a prince. And I don't care if the world knows. But that decision is your's to make, and no matter what, I'll always be here. I can promise you that." He offed him another bite of their food, his hand barely resting on his knee. He was terrified of scaring Jordan, making him think he was only trying to get into his pants when he wasn't.

Jordan fell quiet as he took the bite off the spoon. Kenneth kept making promises. Not to mention he'd never tried to come on to him all the time they'd known each other, even with his feelings... Jordan's heart skipped a beat, and he hoped his nerves wouldn't make him sick. He touched Kenneth's hand briefly with his own, and then it was gone again. "..If...you can promise that...then I'm yours.." He whispered into the dark, and hoped desperately that he wasn't making a mistake.

Kenneth knew better than to look a gift horse in the mouth, but he couldn't help it. He knew for a fact Jordan didn't like relationships. Jordan jumped every time Kenneth touched him, for crying out loud. "I'd promise you the world if I knew you waned it.." He said quietly, looking down into the darkness before he looked back up at Jordan. "Are you sure, Jordan? I-.. I mean.. I don't want- I.. I didn't mean to hide it from you for so long.. Things would have been different if I knew.. I.. I fell in love the minute I saw you and I haven't thought about anything else since.. Are you really sure?"

Jordan bit his lip. "I would have told you sooner if I wasn't such a damn child sometimes.." He murmured guiltily. "It's fucking scary, Kenneth...but I'm sure.. I want to give this a shot. I can't just hide for the rest of my life when there's somebody I actually like... I just-..I'm afraid you're gonna find someone better...someone ready...somebody not so broken.."

Kenneth gently turned Jordan's chin to his, looking him in the eyes despite the darkness. "I don't care what you see or what the rest of the world sees. I see a boy I've been in love with forever now, and he's as perfect as anyone. Everyone's a little broken, Jordan. And as far as I'm concerned, there's not a single other person on this Earth I'd rather be with than you. I don't want some one who's been in a bottle all their life and is pristine. I want you." He kissed his forehead gently, his heart pounding. He had horrible butterflies, he wouldn't lie. But he loved them.
